Service area

Where does Pibbly visit?

Pibbly travels to early learning centres, kindergartens and schools across Brisbane, and to the councils around it by arrangement. Pibbly does not run a venue. There is nowhere to drive your child to, because the session happens where your child already is.

The map

Which areas are covered?

Brisbane is the standing service area. The four councils that border it are available by arrangement, which means the timing has to work against the rest of the week rather than being a standing weekly slot.

Every week

  • Inner Brisbane
  • Brisbane North
  • Brisbane South
  • Brisbane East
  • Brisbane West

By arrangement

  • Moreton Bay
  • Logan
  • Ipswich
  • Redlands

Further out than this, ask. A centre that wants Pibbly enough to work around the drive is usually worth the drive.

If your suburb is not on this list, that is not a no. It means nobody has asked yet.

What a visit needs

What does a centre have to provide?

Less than most services expect. This is the whole list.

A room, or a corner of one

A mat space or a table the group already uses. Nothing is installed, moved or left behind. Pibbly arrives with the sorobans and the workbooks and takes them away again.

Thirty minutes in the day you already run

Sessions are 30 minutes for ages 3 to 5 and 45 minutes for age 6. The time is set with you, around your routine, not across it. Most services pick a slot inside their existing indoor programme block.

Your own supervision arrangements

Sessions run inside your ratios and your supervision, with your educators in the room. There is no unsupervised contact at any point. Every session is delivered in person by Karin Jordaan, who holds a current Blue Card and QCT registration.

Nothing else

No cost to the service, no invoicing, no forms, no staff time. Parents enrol and pay Pibbly directly.

How it starts

How does a visit get arranged?

  1. 1

    Someone asks

Either the service enquires directly, or a parent tells us where their child goes and we approach the service. The second route works better than it sounds: that conversation goes much further when a family has already asked for it.

  2. 2

    One free session, one group

The first session is free, for one group, at a time that suits you. No commitment and no paperwork. If your families do not love it, that is the end of it.

  3. 3

    A standing weekly slot

If it works, we agree a day and a time and it becomes part of the week. Parents enrol and pay Pibbly directly, in blocks of four sessions.

Is your centre in reach?

Tell us the name and the suburb. If you are a parent, we will approach them for you. If you run the service, the first session is free.

Or email admin@pibbly.com.au. We reply within 2 business days.
